Delta School District provides the ArtStretch Program for a small number of students in Grades 5 to 7 who demonstrate a passion for the Visual Arts and exceptional artistic ability. The program will run from November 2011 until May 2012. Location and dates of the program will be announced in the fall.
All interested students who feel they have a passion for Art and an urgency for art-making are encouraged to enter the ArtStretch adjudication process, and should be working on their portfolio over the summer holidays. Guidelines for ArtStretch Intake are now available from the school secretary and from the Delta School District website at http://web.deltasd.bc.ca/programs/special-programs/enrichment
Please note that students from this year’s program are not automatically re-admitted and must submit a new application. Students should initiate the application process, but a teacher or administrator who has knowledge of the student’s abilities and talent must support the application. The application package with more information will be available from your teacher or the school secretary in early September. For further information please contact Delta Manor Education Centre at 604-952-5050
