Port Guichon has a Green Team!  Six Port Guichon students have signed a commitment poster to support the School’s green initiatives.  The commitment is posted by the front of the school.  The main environmental initiative  this year for the school is the classroom Garden Program.  The classes have been spending time outside planting seeds and tending to their vegetable garden.  T

his year the school arranged to purchase 3 more of the galvanized raised beds with a Sustainability Grant and thank you to PAC for also purchasing one!

One class just harvested an amazing crop of potatoes and is enjoying a potato lunch!  The garden beds to the south of the gym have been utilized along with courtyard green spaces.  Here are some photos of how are veggies are growing!  Next September the school has a plan to continue running a Green Team with initiatives to help the environment.  Well done PG!
